Ruby Bridges

Ruby Bridges founded the Ruby Bridges Foundation, wrote the memoir Through My Eyes, and received the 2001 Presidential Citizens Medal. At six, on November 14, 1960, she became the first Black child to integrate William Frantz Elementary in New Orleans.
