Tintin in the Land of the Soviets

By Hergé

Categories: Children's Books, Comics & Graphic Novels

Tintin in the Land of the Soviets is the first of Hergé's Adventures of Tintin, serialized in a Belgian newspaper supplement in 1929 and 1930. The young reporter Tintin and his dog Snowy travel by train to Moscow to report on life in the Soviet Union, pursued by secret police agents who try to stop them. It is a rough work of anti-communist satire that Hergé came to regret, but it introduced the characters who went on to star in two dozen more books.
