The Tar-Aiym Krang
Last updated October 31, 2026
Flinx is a red-haired orphan and petty thief in the market city of Drallar, with a venomous flying minidrag, Pip, and an empathic talent he barely understands. A starmap he takes from a dead man points toward an artifact of the extinct Tar-Aiym. The map draws him into an expedition with a scientist and a thranx philosopher. Published in 1972, it was Alan Dean Foster's first novel and the first book about Pip and Flinx.
