The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul
Categories: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Dirk Gently, the self-styled holistic detective, takes an interest in events after a check-in desk at Heathrow Airport explodes and a client of his is found with his head turning on a record player. His inquiries lead him to the Norse gods, who are living forgotten lives in modern England, among them a sulky Thor and an Odin content with clean hospital sheets. Douglas Adams's second Dirk Gently novel is a comic mystery about belief and neglect.
