Senisran, in Alan Dean Foster's novel, is a newly found, mineral-rich world of oceans dotted with thousands of islands. First-contact specialist Pulickel Tomochelor is sent to win mining rights for the Commonwealth before the reptilian AAnn can, but the Parramat clan resists. The Parramat hold green stones that seem to command the forces of nature. Pulickel comes to see that the technology behind them is ancient and must be kept from the AAnn.
