The Gremlins

Roald Dahl's first book for children, first published in 1943, follows Gus, a British airman flying in the Battle of Britain, who finds a horned gremlin, about six inches tall, drilling a hole in the wing of his plane. The gremlins are angry because their forest home was cleared for an aircraft factory, but they are eventually persuaded to help the RAF. Walt Disney bought the story for an animated film that was never made, and this edition reproduces the Disney Studios illustrations.
