By Roald Dahl
Categories: Children's Books
In Roald Dahl's 1985 children's story, drawn by Quentin Blake, the narrator is Billy, a boy who dreams of owning a sweet shop in an empty old building near his home called the Grubber. He befriends a giraffe with a stretching neck, a pelican with an extendable beak and a singing, dancing monkey, who run the Ladderless Window-Cleaning Company. When the Duke of Hampshire hires them to clean the windows of his vast house, the job leads to an encounter with a burglar.
