The Candle of Distant Earth
Last updated October 31, 2026
Chicago commodities broker Marcus Walker and George, a dog given speech to raise his value, have escaped the Vilenjji, the aliens who abducted them. They are free but stranded light-years from home, with no idea which way Earth lies. Walker ends up in command of a small fleet of fellow escapees while they search for a solar system no one has heard of, and the Vilenjji want their cargo back. It closes Alan Dean Foster's Taken trilogy.
