Written by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, the creator of C, this is the classic guide to the C programming language. The second edition covers ANSI standard C. The book is short and built around examples, starting with a quick tutorial and moving through types, operators, control flow, functions, pointers, arrays, structures and input and output. A reference manual and a summary of the standard library complete it. Known as K&R, it set the style for many later programming books.
