The Burning Room (2014) is a crime novel by Michael Connelly. Harry Bosch, working in the LAPD's Open-Unsolved Unit with a young partner, Lucia Soto, investigates the death of Orlando Merced, a mariachi musician who dies a decade after being shot at Mariachi Plaza. The bullet removed after his death gives Bosch evidence never studied before, and the case leads to a wider conspiracy. The novel and The Concrete Blonde formed the basis of the 2021 seventh season of Bosch.
