T. E. Lawrence's account of his service as a British liaison officer with the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire in 1916-1918. It describes the desert campaign, the guerrilla war along the Hejaz railway, the capture of Aqaba and the advance to Damascus, along with Lawrence's own conflicted feelings about the war and British promises to the Arabs.
