One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories

By B. J. Novak

One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories (2014) is the debut collection by B. J. Novak, the actor and writer known for The Office. It contains 64 pieces, ranging from full short stories to brief sketches only a few lines long. The opening story, "The Rematch," imagines the hare, crushed by his loss, demanding a second race against the tortoise. Novak turns playful, often satirical premises into reflections on love, fame and modern life. Reviewers praised its wit and longer stories while finding some short sketches uneven.
