One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish
By Dr. Seuss
Categories: Children's Books
Dr. Seuss's 1960 Beginner Book starts by counting fish, one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, and moves into a string of short rhyming scenes about children and the odd creatures they meet. Along the way readers find the Wump, the Yink, the Gox, the Zans, the Nook and the Zeds, along with Ned, whose bed is too small. Simple words, repetition and playful rhyme give early readers plenty of practice and plenty to laugh at.
