Montezuma Strip
Last updated October 31, 2026
Angel Cardenas, a top police officer, works in the Montezuma Strip, a sprawling future borderland city, where wealth and high technology sit beside poverty and street gangs. This collection gathers five of his cases with an introduction by Alan Dean Foster. The stories are "Sanctuary", "Heartwired", "Gagrito", "Hellado" and "Our Lady of the Machine". All but the last first appeared under the pen name James Lawson. The novel The Mocking Program continues his story.
