Last updated November 1, 2026
Ethan Fortune and the adventurer Skua September go back to Tran-ky-ky, the frozen planet where they were stranded in Icerigger. To win the planet a place in the Commonwealth, they set out to unite the feuding city-states of the catlike Tran. Looking for allies, they sail an ice ship to Moulokin, a distant and isolated city, while a corrupt off-world official works against them. Alan Dean Foster's novel appeared in 1979.
