Livewired: The Inside Story of the Ever-Changing Brain (2020) is a book by the Stanford neuroscientist David Eagleman, published by Pantheon. Kirkus called it "outstanding popular science." Eagleman explores brain plasticity – proposing the term "livewired" to replace "plastic" – and shows how the brain continually rewires itself in response to experience, injury and new technology, reallocating its resources as circumstances change and challenging the idea of the brain as fixed hardware.

- Lex Fridman: “David Eagleman... the author of a lot of amazing books about the human mind, and his new one called Livewired. Livewired is a work of ten years on a topic that is fascinating to me, which is neuroplasticity, or the malleability of the human brain.”
