Johnny Carson
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs
Johnny Carson (2013) is a memoir by Henry Bushkin, who served as Johnny Carson's lawyer, business adviser and close confidant from 1970 until their relationship ended in 1988. Carson called him "Bombastic Bushkin" in Tonight Show monologues. Bushkin offers an inside account of the private life of the guarded talk-show host, including his marriages, his NBC contract, his difficult relationships and the abrupt end of their partnership. The book portrays Carson as both generous and hard-hearted.
