Great Pubs of London
Categories: Cookbooks, Food & Wine, Travel
Publican George Dailey's 2016 book profiles 25 of London's most historically and architecturally significant pubs, with photographs commissioned from Charlie Dailey and a foreword by Ian McKellen. Dailey tells each pub's history and the personalities and events tied to it, explaining why the Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden earned the nickname "Bucket of Blood" and how pubs gave English phrases such as "on the wagon" and "one for the road."

- Richard Branson: “If you're looking for recommendations other than The Queen's Head and The Princess Victoria, I suggest you check out Great Pubs of London – a delightful coffee table book, photographed by the wonderful Charlie Dailey. It's a beautiful celebration of the capital's most historic watering holes.”
