Flying High: My Story: From AirAsia to QPR
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, Business & Money
Flying High (2017, Penguin) is the memoir of Malaysian entrepreneur Tony Fernandes, who started out at Richard Branson's Virgin and became a Warner Music executive before buying the debt-laden airline AirAsia for a token one ringgit. He tells how he relaunched it as Asia's first low-cost carrier, bought a Formula One team and became chairman of the English football club Queens Park Rangers. He also sets out the business principles behind his career and recounts his response to the loss of Flight 8501.
