Five on a Treasure Island (1942) is the first book in Enid Blyton's Famous Five series. Julian, Dick and Anne go to stay by the sea with their cousin George, a tomboy who refuses to be called Georgina, and her dog Timmy. George owns a small island with a ruined castle, and when a storm throws up an old shipwreck, the children find a map pointing to lost gold hidden on the island. They must outwit a group of adults who want the treasure for themselves.
