In Danny Dunn and the Homework Machine, the third book in Jay Williams and Raymond Abrashkin's Danny Dunn series, young Danny uses a computer that Professor Bullfinch has built for NASA to do his homework, despite the professor's warning to leave the machine alone. With his friend Joe Pearson and his new neighbor Irene Miller, Danny has some success until the machine is sabotaged. He must work out what went wrong, while his teacher, having learned about the machine, has ideas of her own.
