Cowpuppy
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, Science & Math
When Emory University neuroscientist Gregory Berns and his wife moved to a farm in rural Georgia, he knew almost nothing about cattle. Their herd started with three miniature zebus: a bull, Ricky Bobby, and two cows, Lucy and Ethel. As calves arrived and the herd grew, Berns turned his scientific eye on the animals, studying how cows think, feel and bond. The book is part memoir and part science, building on his earlier research into dogs.
