Last updated October 31, 2026
Etjole Ehomba, a herdsman with a strict sense of duty, promises a dying, shipwrecked stranger that he will rescue a woman he has never met. Armed with a bone knife and a sword of sky metal, he sets out to cross his world on foot. On the way he questions every person and animal he meets, in lands where the impossible is ordinary. This begins Alan Dean Foster's Journeys of the Catechist fantasy trilogy.
