Aunts Aren't Gentlemen (1974; US title The Cat-Nappers) is the last Jeeves and Wooster novel Wodehouse completed. On doctor's orders, Bertie Wooster retreats to the country village of Maiden Eggesford for a rest cure. Rest proves impossible. Aunt Dahlia is staying nearby and drafts Bertie into a plan to kidnap a cat said to keep a racehorse in form, while Jeeves has to fend off a fiancee Bertie never wanted.

- Fareed Zakaria: “P. G. Wodehouse. I’ve read almost everything he wrote. He once explained that there were two ways of writing novels. “One is mine, making the thing a sort of musical comedy without music, ignoring real life altogether; the other is going right down deep into life and not caring a damn.” He did the former better than almost anyone.”
