Vannevar Bush

Vannevar Bush was an American engineer who cofounded Raytheon and headed the Office of Scientific Research and Development in World War II. His 1945 essay "As We May Think" shaped computing, and his report Science, the Endless Frontier helped lead to the National Science Foundation.
