Siegfried Engelmann

Siegfried Engelmann (1931–2019) was an American educator who developed Direct Instruction, a scripted teaching method, and the DISTAR programs. He taught at the University of Oregon from 1970 and co-wrote Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons (1983).
