María Amparo Escandón

María Amparo Escandón is a Mexican-born American novelist, screenwriter and film producer whose work explores Mexican immigrant life. Her novel Esperanza's Box of Saints (1999) became the film Santitos, from her own screenplay, and L.A. Weather followed in 2021.
