Ann W. Smith is a licensed marriage and family therapist and executive director of Breakthrough at Caron, a residential personal-growth program. She developed Caron's program for adult children of alcoholics in 1984 and wrote Grandchildren of Alcoholics and Overcoming Perfectionism.
