XLI Poems
E. E. Cummings's XLI Poems, first published in 1925, is one of his early collections of verse. The poems use his distinctive style, with unusual punctuation, broken lines, lowercase letters and playful typography, to write about love, the body, nature and the seasons, and city life. The book draws on material from the large manuscript of his early poetry, parts of which also appeared in Tulips and Chimneys.
