Working Girls: An American Brothel, circa 1892 is a 2018 photography book from G Editions, edited by Robert Flynn Johnson, a former curator at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. It reproduces private photographs taken by William Goldman in Reading, Pennsylvania. The images show the women of a local brothel in posed portraits, nude studies and everyday moments, unusually candid for their time. Johnson identified the photographer and dated the series, and his essay tells how the long-hidden pictures came to light.
