Welcome to Dead House

The first Goosebumps book, published in 1992, follows Amanda Benson and her younger brother, Josh, whose father has inherited a big old house in the town of Dark Falls from a great-uncle they never knew. From the start something feels wrong. Their dog, Petey, growls at the real estate agent, Compton Dawes, Amanda hears odd sounds and glimpses strange children in the house, and the neighborhood kids who gather around the newcomers seem unsettling, though their parents notice nothing amiss.
