We Want a Dog

Two children want a dog, and in bouncy rhyme they list the dogs they could get: dogs that beg, shed, dig, bark, drool, chase, race and rip things to shreds, among many others. Lo Cole's bold illustrations in black, white, red and gray parade an ever-growing pack of dogs across the pages, with a fold-out spread along the way, building toward a surprise decision about which pet would suit them best.
