We Adopted a Baby Chick (2022) by Lori Joy Smith is a picture book based on a true story. Tina is a tiny, fluffy chick, and she is the newest member of the family. Everyone loves her except Albert the sheep, who is big and loud and keeps getting into Mom's vegetable garden. With Tina getting all the attention, Albert is not happy, and the household has to adjust to its new arrival.
