The War of Return

Categories: History, Politics & Social Sciences

In The War of Return (2020), Israeli journalist Adi Schwartz and former Knesset member Einat Wilf argue that the Palestinian demand for a right of return is a central obstacle to peace between Israel and the Palestinians. They trace the refugee issue from 1948 and examine UNRWA, the UN agency that serves Palestinian refugees and their descendants, arguing that its definition of refugee status has kept the conflict alive. The book was first published in Hebrew.
