The Tempest
Categories: Drama, Literature & Fiction
Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, has lived for twelve years on a remote island with his daughter, Miranda, since his brother Antonio seized his dukedom. When a ship carrying Antonio and the King of Naples sails near, Prospero's magic wrecks it. Aided by the spirit Ariel, he scatters the survivors, while his servant Caliban plots against him with a drunken butler and a jester. Shakespeare's play opened the 1623 First Folio.
