The Tao of Pooh
Categories: Self-Help
The Tao of Pooh (1982) by Benjamin Hoff explains the principles of Taoism through the characters of A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories. Hoff presents Pooh as a natural Taoist who lives simply and acts without strain, in contrast to the cleverness of Owl, the busyness of Rabbit and the worries of Eeyore. Through conversations with Pooh and passages from Taoist writers, he introduces ideas such as the uncarved block and effortless action.
