The Predictioneer's Game: Using the Logic of Brazen Self-Interest to See and Shape the Future is a 2009 book by Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, a political scientist at New York University and the Hoover Institution who builds computer models of negotiations. Drawing on game theory, he argues that the outcomes of conflicts, political crises and business deals can be forecast by modeling the interests and influence of the people involved. He describes predictions he has made for governments and companies and applies his method to global issues.
