The Lords of Strategy
Categories: Business & Money
The Lords of Strategy, by former Fortune editor Walter Kiechel III, is a history of corporate strategy as a discipline and of the consultants who created it in the second half of the twentieth century. Published in 2010, the book profiles Bruce Henderson of the Boston Consulting Group, Bill Bain of Bain & Company, Fred Gluck of McKinsey and Harvard's Michael Porter, and shows how ideas such as the experience curve and the growth-share matrix changed the way companies were run.
