The First 90 Days
Categories: Business & Money
The First 90 Days, by Harvard Business School professor Michael D. Watkins, is a guide for managers and executives moving into new roles, whether through promotion, a new employer or an overseas posting. First published in 2003, the book argues that early actions largely decide whether a leader succeeds. Watkins sets out strategies for accelerating learning, matching strategy to the situation, securing early wins, building relationships with a new boss and forming alliances.
