Categories: Literature & Fiction
The Eternal Husband and Other Stories collects five works by Fyodor Dostoevsky in the translation by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky. The title novella (1870) follows Velchaninov, who is visited in St. Petersburg by Trusotsky, the widower of a woman he once had an affair with. Their uneasy relationship mixes friendship and hostility. The volume also includes Bobok, A Nasty Anecdote, The Meek One and The Dream of a Ridiculous Man.
