The End of Everything is a 2026 novel by M. John Harrison, the British writer of science fiction and literary fiction, published by Serpent's Tail and shortlisted for the 2026 Booker Prize. Phillip Tennent makes his living collecting artefacts that wash up on the English Channel coast, years after a crisis whose nature is still unclear: government barely functions, the seas are full of new creatures and Europe has been mislaid. When he finds a changing object he cannot keep, he must carry it inland.
