The Edge of Reality, first published in 1975, records a series of conversations between the astronomer J. Allen Hynek and Jacques Vallée, joined at times by other scientists, on the state of UFO research. The two discuss case reports, the Air Force's Project Blue Book, the reluctance of the scientific establishment to engage and the possibility that the phenomenon involves aspects of reality beyond conventional physics, and they propose ways to study it more rigorously.
