The Boy in the Black Suit is a young adult novel by Jason Reynolds, published in 2015. Seventeen-year-old Matt Miller of Brooklyn has lost his mother to cancer and takes a job at a local funeral home, where he wears a black suit every day. Attending funerals helps him work through his grief, and he meets Lovey, a girl who has faced hardship of her own. The book won a Coretta Scott King Author Honor.
