The Arcadian, first published in 2026, is Steven Pressfield's novel of Telamon of Arcadia, a mercenary cursed for crimes in earlier lives to live again and again as a soldier, who appears in Spain around 1500. Sworn never again to bear arms, Telamon vows to protect a farm girl, Mariah, after Portuguese raiders led by Severiano pillage her home, and he is drawn into the siege of a citadel as visions reveal his past as a Roman legionary.

- Joe Rogan: “Like Steven Pressfield, brilliant author. ... and all of a sudden he writes Legend of Bagger Vance and all these great books and it becomes hugely successful and turned it around.”
