The Aerobics Program for Total Well-Being
Categories: Health, Fitness & Dieting
The Aerobics Program for Total Well-Being (1982) is by physician Kenneth H. Cooper, whose 1968 book Aerobics popularised the term and helped start the American fitness movement. Cooper broadens his earlier focus on exercise into an integrated programme of aerobic activity, diet and emotional balance. He sets out point systems and progressive exercise plans, guidance on nutrition and weight, and advice on managing stress, with the aim of lifelong health and lower risk of heart disease.
