Telegraph Avenue is a novel by Michael Chabon, published in 2012. In 2004, on the border of Berkeley and Oakland, Archy Stallings and Nat Jaffe run Brokeland Records, a used vinyl shop threatened by a megastore planned by a former NFL star. Their wives, partners in a midwife practice, face a crisis of their own, and Archy must deal with his estranged father and a son he never knew. The novel celebrates music, friendship and family.
