Sontag: Her Life and Work (2019) is Benjamin Moser's biography of the American writer and critic Susan Sontag. Drawing on interviews and on Sontag's private archives, Moser follows her from childhood in Arizona and California to her life as an essayist, novelist and public intellectual in New York. He examines her influential essays on photography, illness and style, her political activism and her relationships, including with the photographer Annie Leibovitz.
