Smalltalk Best Practice Patterns
By Kent Beck
Categories: Computers & Technology
Smalltalk Best Practice Patterns is Kent Beck's 1996 book on writing clear, simple and maintainable code. Beck presents roughly ninety patterns for everyday coding decisions, from how to name methods and variables to how to structure classes, collections and control flow. Although the examples are written in Smalltalk, the lessons on communicating intent through code apply to any object-oriented language, and many programmers regard it as one of the best books on the craft of programming.
