Setting God Free: Moving Beyond the Caricature We've Created in Our Own Image

Setting God Free: Moving Beyond the Caricature We've Created in Our Own Image is a 2021 book by Seán ÓLaoire. He is an Irish-born Catholic priest, a licensed clinical psychologist and holder of a doctorate in transpersonal psychology. Drawing on psychology, science, comparative spirituality and his own experience, ÓLaoire questions harsh images of God found in scripture and tradition. He argues for a broader, more loving understanding of the divine than the caricature he says people have made of it.
