Rice, Noodle, Fish: Deep Travels Through Japan's Food Culture
Categories: Cookbooks, Food & Wine
Roads & Kingdoms co-founder Matt Goulding travels some 5,000 miles across Japan, from Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto to Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Fukuoka and Hokkaido. Through essays and color photography rather than recipes, he explores the country's food culture with its chefs, artisans and everyday eaters, covering kaiseki, sushi, street food and ramen. The 2015 book appeared under Anthony Bourdain's imprint at HarperCollins.
